  By Plane

The closest airport to MCEC is Melbourne Tullamarine Airport which is approximately 30 minutes away.

From Melbourne Tullamarine Airport:

  • Upon arrival at Melbourne Airport, exit the terminal and follow the signs for taxis or rideshare pickup if you prefer that option.
  • If you prefer public transport, proceed to the SkyBus Terminal located just outside the airport terminal. The SkyBus Melbourne City Express runs 24/7, including all public holidays. The bus will take you to Southern Cross Station.
  • From Southern Cross Station, you can take a tram or walk to MCEC.
  By Tram

From Southern Cross Station:

  1. Proceed to the tram station located nearby. You will be taking tram number 96, 109 or 12.
  2. If you are taking tram 96 - St Kilda Beach, disembark at the stop 'Convention Centre/Clarendon St.
  3. If you're on tram 109 or 12 - Port Melbourne, get off at the stop 'Clarendon St/West End.
  4. Both stops are just a short walk from the Convention Centre.


  By Bus

From various Melbourne locations:

  • If you are taking a bus, you should look for the bus routes that have stops at Southern Cross Station.
  • Once you reach Southern Cross Station, you can either walk or take a tram to MCEC, as described in the section above "By Tram" section.
  By Car/Parking
  • If you are using a GPS device, enter the address: 1 Convention Centre Pl, South Wharf VIC 3006, Australia.
  • There is parking available at the MCEC itself, with the entrance at Normanby Road.
  • In addition, you can use the nearby Wilson Parking (Freeset St, South Wharf) or DFO South Wharf (20 Convention Centre Pl, South Wharf).


  Accessibility

MCEC is fully equipped to accommodate all visitors. The following amenities are available:

  • Wheelchair and Mobility Scooter access: All entrances are accessible, and lifts are available to access all levels.
  • Accessible Toilets: Accessible toilets are available throughout the venue.
  • Hearing Assistance: An assisted hearing system is available in all plenary and meeting rooms.
  • Parking: Accessible parking spaces are available in the MCEC’s car park. Please ensure to display your accessible parking permit.
