Speaker Bio
In an ever-changing disability landscape, Kerry has been guided by people with disability, their families and carers as she worked in clinical, management, project and policy roles - often within a government context. She was appointed as the Director Community Engagement trialing the NDIS in WA and later joined APM Communities to develop a Community Capacity Building approach for LACs to increase access and inclusion in local communities. Kerry added the development of APM Communities partnerships to her role in 2022 and is working closely with Amaze to foster a mutually beneficial partnership with a primary focus on LACs receiving independent and expert information, training and advice on supporting autistic people.
Kerry loves multi-day hikes with a sketch book tucked in her pack. In Kerry's words: "although I'm getting older, I still fit easier hikes and more sketching/tea breaks into each holiday."
