Virtual Reality Therapy Australia (VRTA), is dedicated to improving mental health through cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) therapy. As one of the first in Australia to use this immersive technology, they serve participants nationwide, including those in remote communities.
Their mission is to provide evidence-based psychosocial treatments using state-of-the-art VR and specialise in treating anxiety, PTSD and phobias, offering a personalised approach with real-time biofeedback. This method is especially effective for groups like Indigenous communities and veterans.
"AH, once isolated by schizophrenia and a fear of going outside, found hope through VRTA. Traditional therapies didn't help, but immersive simulations in a safe, controlled environment allowed AH to confront fears. With personalised sessions and real-time biofeedback, AH's confidence gradually returned, enabling social interaction and outdoor activities for the first time in years. ""VRTA gave me the courage to face the world. With each session, my fear decreased, and now I can go outside without overwhelming anxiety."""
